There are many times when individuals tell us they want to support danceability but can’t commit to volunteering in the classroom or making a donation.
Fortunately, there are so many ways you can help the organization out that cost next to nothing and can make a big impact for our dancers.
Read on to find out ten quick & easy ways you can support danceability today!
1.) Instead of Google try Goodsearch. It’s a search engine similar to Google, but each time you search on Goodsearch danceability gets a donation (once you designate danceability as your charity of choice). Think about how many times you look something up online. Every penny raised helps – and doesn’t cost you a thing!
2.) Starting your holiday shopping and using Amazon? Instead of going to Amazon.com go to Smile.Amazon.com and buy your items there. You can designate danceability as your charity of choice and each time you make a purchase a percentage gets donated to danceability. It’s a no brainer this holiday season as you start to place your holiday orders. While we are talking about holiday gifts, If you are looking for a unique gift for a lady in your life, check out Embrace the Difference. A portion of sales get donated back to charities like danceability!
3.) Follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram (danceabilitywny). We often post updates and can use your help sharing event information or just cute photos to your friends and followers. You never know who might be interested to learn more about us, so share away!
4.) Save the date – Saturday, May 13th, 2017. That is the day of our 10th Annual Performances and it is something you don’t want to miss. If you’ve been to our performances before, you know they are always a lot of fun, but since we are celebrating 10 years, we are doing a lot of new and different things at these shows. More information will be out in the new year!
5.) Oh, and save the date of Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. To celebrate our 10th year we are going BIG with a gala we are calling, “Cheers to 10 Years!” The gala will feature ten dances from the past ten years with many of our dancers who have been here for all ten years. Our committee is working hard to finalize all the details, so stay tuned soon for more information.
6.) Write a danceability testimonial! Are you a volunteer, dancer, family member of a dancer? We are looking to compile testimonials on your experiences at danceability. Have one? Email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
7.) Join a committee! We need people with all sorts of talents to help make our fundraisers and Annual Performances a success. Are you good with fundraising? Do you enjoy event planning? Are you a great basket maker or have the creative gene? Shoot us an email at email@example.com to learn more about our current committee options!
8.) Put information about danceability in your breakroom at work. Does your work allow you to bring in information about organizations you are familiar with? We have great brochures about our programs we can supply you with to put out at your office. We can even come into your office to talk about our programs with your staff. Does your company do dress down days, or pick an organization to support each year? We’d love to be considered!
9.) Join our Board of Directors. If you have some time to give, we are looking for Board members to join us in July 2017. We have specific needs for lawyers, human resource professionals and marketing professionals, but we are considering all applicants. To learn more about what being a Board member includes, contact Board Chair, Krystal Testa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
10.) Observe a class! Have you heard about us, but aren’t really sure what goes in during a class? We’d love to have you come in and check one out to learn more! Just call our office and set up a time to observe. We offer classes Mondays – Fridays in the evening. Our studio number is 716-651-0094.
BONUS #11: Share this blog with your friends. Word of mouth has been a big part of our marketing campaign through the years, and we can’t do it without all our great supporters.
As we get closer to the holidays (can you believe it!?), we can’t thank YOU enough for your support and help. We wish you all a wonderful, restful and joyous holiday season.
