We know any donation you would make to danceability takes away from other things you could be doing for yourself or your family. We know that, so we make sure every donation we receive is put to the best possible use supporting our dancers.
On #GivingTuesday, we will look to our extended danceability community to help us raise needed funds to support our programming. Supporting our programming means making sure our dancers get the best possible experience they can and leave class feeling empowered.
So where exactly will your donation go? We outlined ten different ways your donations this holiday season will support our dancers. Thank you for considering to support danceability. We couldn’t do this without you!
Your #GivingTuesday donation will support…
10.) Purchasing new learning aids and specialized equipment to use in class. We use everything from exercise balls, to pom poms, bubble tubes, maracas and so much more to keep our dancers engaged.
9.) Helping create a special bond between our dancers and their volunteers. It’s a beautiful thing to witness each week in class as our dancers and volunteers get to know each other, encourage each other and teach each other along the way!
8.) Purchasing new music to keep our classes fresh! Our dancers love hearing the latest hit song on the radio in class as well as some of our favorites from the past.
7.) Getting our dancers fit! We are always enhancing our fitness program, Fitness Frenzy, and need to purchase additional mats, weights, balls and more!
6.) Making our Annual Performances spectacular! We culminate our year in a celebration on stage with our Annual Performances (Save the Date – May 7, 2016). From lighting to costumes, props and more your donation will help give our dancers and their families a day they will never forget!
5.) Giving our families some respite. While our dancers are in class, our families get the chance to talk, share advice and enjoy a little break.
4.) The friendships made between dancers. It’s special to watch the friendships that form between dancers. They encourage each other, give each other self confidence and are so full of pride taking the stage with each other in May!
3.) Providing quality instructors for our dancers. Our instructors have years of experience teaching the special needs community and we ensure our new instructors get the training they need from our Executive Directors.
1.) Putting smiles on our dancers faces. There is no better feeling then seeing the smiles on our dancers faces when they master a step that’s been giving them trouble, when they break out of their shell and find the place where they fit in, or when someone claps for them after they perform.
Your donation will make a difference.
